Cultural Projects

While renowned for its neon lights, the city of Las Vegas also offers visitors, newcomers and long-time residents alike a variety of cultural and artistic events and institutions to enjoy. These include the newly-formed 18b Arts District and the up-and-coming Downtown North "Cultural Corridor." Also in the works is the 2,050-seat The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, to be located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas in "Union Park," and the "cultural oasis" to be created through the rejuvenation of the Historic Fifth Street School located on Las Vegas Boulevard.
